Fresh-minting

Great Shakespearean actors make it all sound like heightened everyday speech, specific language invented in the moment to negotiate a specific situation. Michael Langham called it fresh-minting Shakespeare. Since the scripts are not formatted in the monotonous verse-form, young actors will be more inclined to invent their thoughts and language as the real characters would. This invention, or fresh-minting of Shakespeare not only brings his characters to life, but extends a facility for invention through everyday speech.
