Henry V is a very male play that might make a fine production for a male private school, with the Katherine, Alice and Hostess parachuted in from an associated girl's private school. The play is rich in characters, including Falstaff's old gang, a particular and articulate Welshman, would-be assassins, pretentious and squabbling French Lords, The English court, ladies very much 'in waiting', a soldier with a temper and the glorious person of Hal, himself. The Chorus is also wondrously unique. If you have one really good actor and a large group of boys, itching for conflict with one-another, this may be the play for you. The play is mostly about leadership. Purchase
This is from Olivier's Henry V, and likely a true representation of the Globe Theatre.
